Pepper

Black pepper with its stingy flavour and goodness has wound its way into almost all recipes across different cuisines. It lends a spicy bounce to recipes and is packed with antioxidant and antibacterial effects. The piperine in pepper helps clear sinuses, cuts through phlegm and improves metabolism. Pepper grown in Sri Lankan farms is of the highest quality and has higher piperine content, giving it an extra value.

Mango

Although mangoes are not native to Sri Lanka it’s a popular fruit among the locals. It’s sweet, juicy rich taste makes it hard to resist any day. There are several types of mangoes in Sri Lanka that have not only a sweet taste but also a sour taste. The sweet varieties are generally eaten alone or made into a thick concoction whilst the sour variety is generally made into a mango accharu (a pickle recipe) or curry. Either way this golden fruit has a high concentration of essential nutrients such as vitamin A and C.
